Hemorrhoids are a pain – I’ve been there and I know..

And you don’t really want to visit your GP and go through a ‘hemorrhoid’ examination unless it is the only solution.. nor do you want suffer hemorrhoids in silence, hiding behind excuses to avoid seeing the doctor?

Follow the following steps,

1. Drink more water to stay hydrated, it will help you avoid constipation
2. Eat more fiber, will help push your waste through your digestive tract.
3. Use a hemorrhoid spray. I have found using a hemorrhoid spray like Venapro is the easiest and the most effective. You spray under your tongue to absorb into your blood, which I think is so much better then rubbing a cream around your butt

A hemorrhoid can form because the veins around the anus have no valves in them to prevent backflow of blood when pressure is applied. [Arteries don't need valves because the pressure of the blood is higher.] So, under some circumstances like constipation, diarrhea, or other irritations, the vein can get a little too full and tight, and this can irritate it. Sometimes the vein even breaks and bleeds; but it isn’t a big deal even then.
So, treatment involves soothing the swollen vein and reducing the swelling. Hemorrhoid treatments can be bought at the store, which will reduce the swelling and the irritation. Also, you could apply a cold pack to the area.
Prevention generally involved not getting constipation or diarrhea, not rubbing too hard when you wipe, things like that.
If the hemorrhoid isn’t bothering you, it doesn’t need treatment. It’s basically harmless.

If it's small enough, your body should naturally repair it on it's own; however, if it becomes a problem have your doctor prescribe you some medications such as Analpram or Nupercainal or whatever he/she recommends.

preparation H is good. usually works within a few days.the generic versions work just as well.

you should try eating more fiber and inceasing you fluid intake.

dont sit on the toilet for too long.

Hemorrhoid surgery is expensive and can have some side effects. I was taking antibiotics and using creams but it was only a temporary measure. You need to visit http://www.squidoo.com/HMoffreview, its a review about this book and it will give you an idea of how helpful it is. I got rid of my hemorrhoid in a week and it was cheaper than surgery and everything else I was using. But you need to really take care of it before it gets any bigger! good luck!

I would go to the dr first before I even started thinking about surgery. Once you know for sure from the dr that it's a hemorrhoid, the dr may be able to tell you how to get rid of it without resorting to surgery. A high fibre diet may help.
